There are many ways to describe products and production these days and we are accepting the challenges and huge benefits offered by operating in a sustainable manner. We are incorporating sustainable practices in our packaging, processing, transport, and marketing as new advancements are made.

In May 2007 we were encouraged by the review conducted and published by B.C. Provincial Government announcing 52 recommendations regarding the aquaculture industry in BC. You can read the complete report at "Special Committee on Sustainable Aquaculture Final Report". One of the recommendations is for the open net cage salmon farming industry to move to "closed containment" over the next 5 years. We want to encourage the industry to reach this goal. Many of our customers understand this long term planning will reap rewards for the full spectrum of seafood products including the closed containment farmed products.
